Definitely get the hype as to why cooking dried chickpeas is better than canned ones
This is the only bean I still buy canned - I can’t get my hummus to be right when I cook dried chickpeas
Please tell me what I’m doing wrong?! ( I already add the small Amy of baking soda and it doesn’t seem to be what I’m missing)
Just a tip, if you don’t already know, after soaking the chickpeas, removing the outer layer or skin of the chickpeas makes for a smoother hummus.
Is the same with any dried bean or even dried hominy..it soaks up flavour from whatever you cook it in rather than the slimy liquid in a can
