It’s not the picture. He was never qualified. He had a demonstrated history of bias with rent and other shady business history.
He also did the full page ad on the exonerated five. He called Mexicans rapists. He held hate rallies. He objectified women. He mocked a gold star family and reporter with a disability.
Yet three times some people still saw more of themselves in him than they did the opposing candidate.
They chose him. Three times. And they would do it again. Still now.
The HBCU undergrad to for-profit grad pipeline actually needs to be studied
I’m interested in if there’s over-representation (casual observation says yes), how it varies by both school ranking and location, prevalence at schools with postgrad programming vs none (e.g. do they have Mellon/ McNair chapters), distribution based on degree/major, time span between degrees, and first-gen student vs generational college student.
I’ve encountered so many who go from HBCUs to Walden, Capella, etc
