Prime Emmitt Smith was the kind of back who made everything look under control. He let blocks develop, found daylight in traffic, and turned tough yards into a weekly habit.

Greatest line ever but Emmit doesn't get enough credit! The guy ran hard and ran smart! He bounced off defenders and made smart cuts. Broke plenty tackles! People hold it against him that he had such a great line but how do you explain how he was still running like that at the end of his career when he went to the Cardinals and their line sucked! People hate on him too much! HOF back no matter what!

Ran behind an all pro line most of his career, of course he broke Payton’s record!! Overrated imo

Emmitt is underrated and his oline is overrated.

He was great but, I would’ve loved to see what Barry would’ve done on that Dallas team

Ran behind one of the greatest offensive lines ever. He was still a great back but not putting him over Jim Brown, Barry Sanders and Walter Payton

Please. Put him behind the line Barry Sanders had to run behind. He would average 50 yards a game.

He was nice, even at Florida. But will never be better than Barry, Walton, nor Jim.

I liked his move on Darrell Greene. He knew he couldn’t outrun him so he had to improvise a way out.

He was running thru the Lincoln tunnel every time he touched the ball.
