Question: Did we previously think Guy Fieri was *not* a POS?
Not me. Never liked him. He's not a serious thinker.
Many years ago he was more decent. He was kind to my mom when she met him. And my sister is friends with his wife and attended her dad's funeral. She chatted with him at the service and said he was genuinely nice. I met him briefly at Epcot yeara ago when he was there with his wife. He was friendly and pleasant. I think all the money and attention brought out the underlying worst of him. That said, his maga tendencies have made him just another piece of crap. Damn shame.
The fact that he chews with his mouth open told me everything I needed to know about that dude, from jump street.
When the Diner and Dives or whatever show first appeared I thought it was an interesting and entertaining concept. I thought the host was an annoying, low-grade dick. But I watched for the food and travel. But he's too much to take.
Right? Hasn't he always been a douche?
Yes. Him & Alton Brown even tho I adore Brown’s shows… IRL- he’s a JERK.
Nope, we knew a long ass time ago.
I think he started off as one? But he definitely let fame go to his head. And after I heard he had an issue with DDD doing episodes with Gay business owners, I realized that someone can do good things and still be an absolute ahole. And now he’s wholly committed himself to the dark side. I used to watch him a bunch, but when we dropped cable a few years ago and went to streaming-I stopped because Food Network never plays straight up cooking shows anymore.
I knew from the moment I saw those frosted tips.
We kinda knew dude. Dr. Dude. 🙏
When was the last time he was relevant? 2003?
He did a lot of great work for restaurants in the pandemic. And that was about it.
