There is a lot of anger and hurt in the indie authors community about Draft2Digital (and rightly so). We all have to decide what is best for ourselves and our businesses. All I'm asking is that instead of calling out other authors for whatever they decide, you show some sympathy and support. Other indie authors are not your enemies. Please don't make this issue something to drive a wedge between us. We're indies; we thrive most when we support each other.

I moved out at 18 and in with my biological dad, thinking he’d be a better parent (somehow, he was worse than the mother I wanted away from). I had to work to support my little brother and sister while a senior in high school. I met my then boyfriend at work.
He was my manager, 23, so not too much older.
We had a very unstable relationship.
