They’re making excuses for this black man because we live in a racist society that categorizes all black men the same, therefore by defending him or making excuses for his behaviors, they are defending themselves. That’s really all it is.

Just spoke on the Senate floor to oppose this unprecedented use of a procedural mechanism that would have major consequences for the Boundary Waters and public lands across the country. I know some of my Republican colleagues oppose this, and they need to stand up and do the right thing.
The way they respond and thank the media...gratitude is...phew.
