When someone tells me that I usually respond with "There's only one good way to prove that statement."
I’m torn on this sentiment. I also know how cults work and I know the history of cults, and a lot of times when you focus on a leader dying dramatically, it does have a profound effect on the future strength of the membership and just like the sort of inertia that’s happening.
But then this is a political belief system, it’s not a insulated cult like Waco or heavens gate or Jim Jones, etc..
I also really, really want him to go to prison. But I understand that rationally in the world we live in, it’s probably not gonna happen and I’ve come to terms with that emotionally. It’s still fucking sucks.
And now, because of a second Trump term, there’s a hell of a lot that is going to need fixing.
