I’m going to start making compilations of cars in Taichung who don’t stop for us while we are in the middle of the road trying to cross the street on the zebra crossing !!!!!!!
Sorry, but that’s just a classic Taiwan moment.
Honestly, do yourself a favor and stay away from this sh!thole.

This is Taichung, and it says it all.
what the actual fuck is wrong with the educations of the drives in taiwan lol
i can’t even drive here cuz of how crazy people are. and that’s coming from someone from socal that has to deal with crazy LA drivers
That’s insane!!! I’m from South Africa .. I thought there was bad but Taiwan is next level.
Living in Tainan I experience similar. When cars stop I thank them and walk a bit faster. When they keep edging, I put my arms out or a hand up to stop and walk slower.
Exactly! We do this too 😆
感謝推廣行人地獄
無能腳痛部與明智未開板金大爺共同努力的結果💪
Under the governance of our great mayor Mama Lu, Taichung has become Los Santos 🙂
Sorry you have to go through this. As a resident of Taichung, I can tell you our mayor doesn’t give a f**k about traffic.
We only get three days of law enforcement after a serious accident—three days, and that’s it.
A real systematic reform? Not a chance. It would cost votes (by that logic, most people here don’t seem to care either lol).
I love Taiwan and so do most foreigners. But some of us have kids/families that will have to grow up in this system and honestly, knowing the mayor doesn’t care is really disappointing
And funny enough that there are people having hatred towards to those who record or report on these behaviors and calls you paranoia reporter
Trafficwise, certainly the most dangerous country in East Asia. Be careful!
I mean here is hell and why you guys live in heaven western countries want to come here?
Who said we live in heaven? Crossing the road safely in ANY country shouldn’t be so dangerous.
Yes, I’m aware of what country I’m in right now
Then get use to it because Taiwan is not western countries.
Hold your phone up every time you cross streets
That’s exactly what I’ve started doing. And I make a point to show them I’m recording them
Good luck lol. Being a pedestrian in Taiwan is literal HELL.
The cars in the city of death are dangerous and the mayor doesn’t care at all
Yeah it’s super disappointing ….
Mayor should be doing something about this …
Law enforcement in Taiwan is quite weak compare to Singapore. Singapore has implemented stricter penalties for speeding offences to curb rising road accidents.
I wish Taiwan would learn from other countries
I carry a metal water bottle on a rope handle, I don't swing it wildly. but if a car gets close enough to "hit" me. it'll have enough damage on it that the driver will want to stop. and then lose their license, since they were the one cutting off a pedestrian in a zebra crossing.
You can report it to the polic
I think it’s par for the course in most Taiwan cities of any size that I’ve visited, since at least the early 90s
You r in one of the terrible streets
The whole block is full of kindergartens, cram schools and elementary schools. Something more needs to be done for the kids at least
Taiwan is pervasive with some violators who seemingly don't care about pedestrians on the zebra crossing, and that's really perilous
not red light need attention car past zebraline
Taichung the least walkable city
Welcome to pedestrian hell and the nation of friendly people:)
What happened to looking both way b4 we cross back home you’d just get hit , thinking you got special treatment. I fuck wit it get Cho ass out the street 😂, or become street meat 🤷🏾♂️
There are a lot of 憨仔drivers in Taiwan
This is great, teach us how to report please. Im new in taiwan
I've been in Taipei last month and the drivers there are very respectful of the zebra lane. I never encountered this in my 5-day stay. They patiently wait for all people to cross before they proceed.
in Kaohsiung its different .... im not even started walking yet but they will stop whenever they see someone about to cross the road in a zebra crossing
Looks like漢口路. I recall the intersection has traffic lights
