Some people are mad about my post about Mexico’s healthcare system, pointing out how broken it is, how it lacks capacity. My point isn’t that it’s perfect. No system is. The point is that they are at least investing in improving it. The larger point here is to highlight the difference between a country that acknowledges its shortcomings and invests in its people, and one that ignores its own and chooses to prioritize things like war instead.
