I went to the police to report being assaulted. They interviewed me for hours. Said they would make an arrest. A month went by, the person continued to stalk me. I hired a lawyer to call the police (this was in Toronto) and they told them they “forgot” to press charges. A woman detective too.

TLDR they pressed charges, he had plead guilty, I got a 3 year peace bond after meeting the crown attorney, the detectives were suspended, I got an apology letter from the TPD and I left Toronto after that
