"Roger that" 意為「收到並理解」,源自二戰時期軍事無線電通信,用來確認收到訊息並了解指令。它是「Received」(已接收)的縮寫,透過「Roger」代表字母 R(Received)來確保訊息準確。現今廣泛用於日常生活中表示「了解」、「收到」。

In 1927, the International Telegraph Union chose "Roger" because it was deemed easier to pronounce and recognize globally.

"Roger" was also found to be more distinct than other options.
