April Fools is cancelled, the world is one big ass joke now.
Only the United States is a joke.
Sorry to disappoint you, but even though the States are the biggest joke of them all, the whole world is currently — and very unfortunately — a total mess. So I fully support OP. 
Because I live in Europe and follow global politics very actively. An an ethologist and an educator, I am also acutely aware of the climate crisis. So… everything is basically a terrible joke, when instead of saving our planet together we wage wars and support inequity and suppression.
So basically, other countries besides the USA are also currently run by corrupt politicians...
Some reality feels like it started writing its own satire.
