Autistic people deserve to be the hero in stories too.
We deserve to have representation where we aren’t just stereotypes of being too quiet or too loud.. too weird.. or a device to be used to teach patience or empathy. We deserve it all.
Which is why all of my characters are neurodivergent, yes, but my main characters I always write as being autistic even if it’s not explicitly stated as such.
