Bucket queen since birth 🦦🪣

Did you know? Mishka joined us back in January 2015, after being caught in a fishing net as a young pup, then being rescued and rehabilitated by our friends at @alaskasealifecenter and deemed non-releasable by the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service. Mishka now spends her days hanging out with habitat-mates Ruby and Sekiu and munching on shrimp and ice treats. 🦐

The Contemporary Jewish Museum (CJM) has decided to sell its Daniel Libeskind-designed building in downtown San Francisco. The museum had already been closed since December 2024, when it shut down and laid off 80% of its staff, citing low attendance and limited support since the Covid-19 pandemic.

Watch out for people who only feel secure when someone else is “beneath” them; it’s insecurity dressed as superiority. Looking down on others becomes a subconscious defense mechanism: “If I’m above you, you can’t hurt or reject me.” They resort to judging others or turning everything into a competition. If they place you beneath them, they don’t have to risk being questioned, challenged, or rejected. It gives them a false sense of control. A shield.

Don’t borrow judgement.

The reason why we spend hundreds of hours analyzing a business is to thoroughly understand it.

The purpose of the research is to build confidence in our assumptions.

The valuation then dictates what the return those assumptions will yield.

We are open to contradictory opinions, but we don’t blindly follow anyone—we only follow our research and our judgement.

It doesn’t make sense to go through this whole process to just “borrow” someone else’s "judgement.”
