Treat your employees like the lifeline of your business. Pay a livable wage, provide real medical coverage, and the rest takes care of itself. When you lead well, your people will go to extraordinary lengths to protect the mission because they know you value them and have their backs. A good life is worth far more than money, and any boss who understands that will never have to worry about loyalty or performance.
CEO at my Husbands job has a yearly salary of $1m and a yearly bonus of $1.5M and millions in stock yearly. Hubby’s bonus is ok but it is not equitable for the work they do. He is in manufacturing and his bonus this year after taxes was a tiny bit over his monthly pay. We have to use it yearly for needs. Never anything fun.
While that was a dumba** thing to say. It wasn't random. It was after a huge poorly planned offer. I'm going to assume the $1k went to those working that day.

They had a "Buy One Get One" burger deal for a total of 3 days that was wildly successful. I'd imagine it was a gesture to apologize to the people for when stores ran out of food. It's very French of him to respond to a perceived fear.
New outlets reported that each store got $1000. So, if they employ an average of 20 people in a single store, each person got $50 bucks! (Read with sarcasm)
They never want to raise salaries, do they? Just a one off that sounds like it isn’t much per person. But for themselves? The sky is the limit.
That shouldn’t absolve or save him from anything. 1.5 mil? This is bare bottom minimums. The US worker is treaded like trash. We get nothing.
Gee, maybe being a fair and decent employer, who actually pays his employees a livable wage, could have allayed that fear 🤦🏼♀️
Now, instead of it being a fucking bonus, have it integrated into their wages and you want have to feel like maybe you'll be shot.
Crazy work knowing what we know about the UHC situation and still deciding to bonus out staff instead of lowering prices.
If we can’t convince them to be decent humans with discourse, I’ll go ahead and take this as an option.
Wow so that's your only reason lmao. It doesn't count then if you just don't wanna get shot up
🧍♂️ 🧍♂️ 🧍♂️ 🧍♂️ 🧍♂️
Take a guess
Which one is moi
or maybe just not be an as*hole and give your workers a raise so they can afford standard of living
That’s really a pittance because there are approx. 30k employees. So what everyone got 50 bucks?
So you're saying it was an effective deterrent to being a piece of shit in this particular case?
Damn, I never expected negotiating labor collective bargaining agreements could get this ugly.
I mean that’s good shit. Good for him for preserving his life 😭👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
he’ll probably just get Epi-penned by a disgruntled customer with a severe peanut allergy
You can still get shot 🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️
their fries are great.
should be called Fries Guys
what did the dude do? is he a baddie?
Hey, it’s the outcome we want. If this is the only motivation then let’s keep it up!
They have 30,000 employees. That’s $50/employee. I don’t think he’s in the clear.
Hmm. The UHC CEO wasn’t shot by an employee. The shooter wasn’t even a customer.
that easy. now he should fix the wages or else he just put a bandaid on a broken arm
They charge a mortgage for a burger WITHOUT fries and a drink. He could afford it.
Well. That’s a shame that’s what it takes…but at least bonuses were given.
So it worked! An intervention this successful should be implemented nationwide.
Someone sent him a bullet in a peanut shell and he had a come to Jesus moment.
Wouldn't have done anything if Luigi hadn't scared him. We need more Luigi's,
Shoulda been chump change since those burgers cost a fortune to begin with
Treat your employees well and you won't have to buy your life from them.
And all this time we thought it was going to be trickle-down economics!
Or you could just pay your employees a livable wage and be a good CEO.
$1.5M = a burger, fries and a drink for 500 customers at a Five Guys.
That’s pretty generous! There’s only 5 employees that work there
Not much gender diversity either.
"If I don't exploit my staff too much they may not want to kill me"
Im pretty sure hamburger man isn't denying peoples health insurance
Well your burgers cost $1100, i think you could have paid out more
I’m gonna go ahead and double it and give it to the next guy
Just borrow Lil X from.Elon and wear a body vest. You're good
All the ceos could try this, I dunno for like maybe science.
That shouldn’t be the incentive to give to your employees
That should absolutely be the incentive. They should be scared of every day people. CEOs are all bold asf because they forgot what people are capable of when they’re pushed too far
I meant more that CEO’s should just give to employees no matter what. I agree with you
