The coaster blocks where that light ends up, making it seem like the coin has vanished. Change the setup slightly by adding water on top of the coin first, and the illusion no longer works.

The Supreme Court just granted the Trump Justice Department's request to vacate an appeals court ruling against Steve Bannon in his contempt case.
