The Writing Community is full of land mines. I’ve nearly stepped into some because of some opportunistic characters trying to take advantage of me.

Mostly, I’ve been quite lucky. I’ve had the good fortune to form relationships with authors and other book professionals who show the same respect to me as I do to them. Some of these relationships even turn into friendships.

Authors, be careful who you gift your trust too, but know that finding your people is absolutely invaluable in this field.
