I’ve read pieces from people saying how this Citizenship case should be rejected on this ground or this statute. I want to tell these well meaning legal scholars that with all due respect there are millions of us who depend on this being a plain worded slap down citing the Constitution. We are not hanging our ability to call our nation home on some cute legal interpretation. Your citizenship is not on the line and you’re acting like it. The arguments today should drip with contempt for Trump.
