You know how humans’ respiration rate can sync up when you’re physically very close? ie spooning?

Sometimes my partner starts breathing really fast and heavy while he’s sleeping. It certainly doesn’t seem restful. So I snuggle up behind him and slow my breathing way down, and soon, his breathing is slow and steady too. Idk. I just kinda think that’s what it’s all about.

When I was younger, I’d read books or watch movies/tv shows and there wouldn’t be anyone who looked like me, so I’d try to relate to the character with dark hair, or the one who was ambiguous enough to maybeee possibly be like me

So THAT is who I write my books for. The ones who never got to say “that main character looks just like me!” until they were adults
