You can go to timeanddate.com/astronomy and put in your zip code. It will then give you an almanac page that shows you the sunrise and sunset for your location every day AND the moonrise, moonset and moon phase as well. You will learn that a 4 pm moon is perfectly normal a few times in a 29 day moon cycle.
