Kanye moved to China with his mother at the age of ten and became fluent while getting A’s and B’s. He then moved back to Chicago and got a scholarship to attend Chicagos American academy of art and then transferred to Chicago State University where his mother taught as a professor. All of that happened before his career. You can’t deny the man is smart and talented.

he never became fluent in Chinese, getting As and Bs is standard and his mother being a teacher doesn't really speak for him. that all being said though, I do think hes an incredibly talented producer, one of my favourites actually. and sure he is a smart person overall, not quite genius though

I don’t get why anyone thinks Kanye is a creative genius. He’s an eccentric narcissist who has some talent rapping. The genius is that he’s learned to manipulate with his overly confident ego, just like Musk and Trump.

Never got the Kanye hype, fella has done well for himself though, which you could argue is genius.

His Mother’s sudden death really hurt him badly and I feel he always forced himself into certain molds rather than adapted to them organically. His early popularity was fueled by unnatural hype as is the case with most “it” people.
