📌 Millenials

Millenials don’t speak on the phone unless absolutely necessary.
You waiting for the phone stop ringing so you can message the person back
Calls are for when there is no other option available, or for serious emergencies. Anything else can be a message, as civilised society intended
Gen X here. 👋 My phone is for anything else besides talking. Do not call me. Millennials, you are not alone.
I wld I cld turn the calling feature off 🤣🤣🤣
My parents & my nieces/soon coming nephew are getting all of my phone calls. Everyone else, y’all better be on your way to glory.
This person has not met a Millenial nor seen one in the wild. I’ve been avoiding the phone since my mum would try to force me to call to order pizza in the 90’s.
The invention of online ordering for pizza was such a godsend. What do you mean I don't have to try to explain my order and hope they're listening properly?
Text me because I'm not picking up unless I know it's someone I need to speak to and text messages are recorded.
If you text me, I’m calling you. Sincerely, a millennial
Calling when you can text is the "this could have been an email" of our generation.
I live in Malta and I have the misfortune of listening to people of all generations talk nonstop on the phone everywhere I go. It's so annoying. I thought my fellow Millennials hated talking on the phone until I came here.
I've got a Millenial friend I am not to call under ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, text messages are fine. She informed me of this the last time I called her because the previous two times I'd called, a very good mutual friend had passed and I wanted her to hear it from me, and another good friend had accidentally caught himself on fire and needed a lift home from the hospital. When I thought about it, she had a point.
There's a reason our phones have been on silent since God knows if any of us can remember
I just got off the phone with one of my guy friends😆
I guess I'm in the minority but there's several friends and family members I talk on the phone with because it's quicker to get a conversation out and jokes are funnier with voices
We do talk on the phone... but only to gossip with our best friends who live on different continents 😂
News to me, a Millennial who yaps on the phone.
I hate calls! Send me voice texts if you want, I don't care, but don't force me to talk.
The problem with being an Xennial is my friends who are only slightly older than me, like 3 years, thus solidly Gen X, call on the phone. I'm nice and all, and I do like communicating with them... but man if we could just always text instead I'd be ecstatic. It's my most Millennail trait as a '79 baby.
You just made this '81 baby feel so much better about my aversion to actually talking on the phone when we now have full keyboards. The number pad was slow but like... Now? Why put me on the spot like that unless it's an emergency?
I'm paid to answer the phone at work. I tolerate one call weekly from my mother. Other than that? Text, never call me 🤣
I can't stand a one-minute audio message, let alone a phone call
I've spent 28 hours on the phone in the past 3 weeks.
We already did that in the 90s, no more phone calls since umm I want to say 2005. Silent phone since around that time too
I'm not going to describe the gif to you
I love talking on the phone to my friends!
Not to strangers though. Big ick.
Speak for yourself. I love talking on the phone! My and my mom regularly have long talks. I used to have long talks on the phone with my dad as well when he was alive. I really miss that!
I'm a Xennial. My best friend is a millennial. We have spoken on the phone about 3 times in the past three years.
I’ve been needing to make a phone call for almost a year. It’s not essential, so I cannot bring myself to do it.
Spot on..!👍🏽
My anxiety about being on the phone started in childhood; there's a story behind it, a long complicated story.
So, I don't answer the phone unless the number is in my phone or I'm expecting a call. Otherwise, just text me!
Gen X and I prefer text. I don't want to talk on the phone.
I don't answer my phone unless it's my mother or my husband. Otherwise text or email is the way.
It’s funny bc I used to be a YAPPER as a kid and in my teens . But once we got texting it’s like ok I’m cool on that life is overstimulating ig
I only take the call if it's family, if you are a friend you know you don't get phone privilege unless I know you for more than 10 years and if you call me I know is important. If I met you 3 year ago you have nothing to tell me over a phone call that couldn't be said o a text 8f is important you text "I'm calling you" so we have seconds to process but we can process 🤣🤣🤣
Used to talk for HOURS on the phone with friends as a kid. When I got in the loop of being on the phone for work for 10 yrs, miss me with that.
Unless its an emergency or a situation that can't be chat/email/text, no.
Instant messages only... we had msn messenger first
I’m a millennial, I speak with my Gen X friends on the phone, millennial friends on phone and FaceTime, and Gen Z friend on the phone. Idk what y’all are on about. I prefer a phone call still to this day.
Oh! I think I see where they got confused. It's an illusion caused by earbuds, and disgruntled muttering.
The only calls I get are my doctor's office and my mom on birthdays.
…if this thing makes a noise I’m not prepared for i Chuck it in the toilet.
My calls last about....1 minute.
My husband is Gen X. He has a few friends he talks on the phone to all the time and I hate it.
At 16, it was while watching Xena with my best friend. Now, it had damn well better be an emergency. My mom called once to ask if the kids left a toothbrush at her house. Meanwhile, I was all psyched up for her to say a grandparent died.
I don’t even answer the door if I’m not expecting anyone.
