A lot of my friends and family have taken me aside to remind me that they’ve never seen somebody go so above and beyond for a dog before for so long. I just never thought of her as a burden.  she’s always had severe behavioural and medical challenges, but the return of investment has always been 10,000%.

Around 2016, a good friend of mine told me that Louis CK aggressively sexually assaulted her. She told me about it when it happened, and she told me again a few years later. Her story didn’t change.

She never came forward publicly. She was embarrassed and afraid for her career, even at the height of the Me Too movement. It’s not my story to tell, so I never did, but I have watched his multiple attempts at redemption.

Now he’s being celebrated and we are being asked to move on. I won’t move on.
