I get that everyone and their mom has a title that’s similar. I’ve had this title since 2019. On wattpad. It’s already been published and will be published again. There’s no going back, right? So maybe let’s not comment these things on author’s marketing posts. 😅

Agents do not get paid unless they sell a book. That means they are reading queries/emails/proposals for free. Advances, in general, are low-mid-five-figures (if you're lucky). Agents must wait for publishers to issue checks (takes forever). Most publishers pay advances in thirds. If we are talking about an advance of $10K-$20K, 15% of each of those payments do not amount to much. No one is ignoring you on purpose; they are just drowning in queries.
