TF is wrong with some of the comments here talking about pocket knives? In what country do you even live in? Pocket knives aren't that common. I genuinely never met someone in my life that carries a pocket knife 🙃

I yelled "TAKE OFF THE SHOE!" at the phone without reading the caption lol.
Step 1 is hit the emergency stop. Then remove the tension panic, and recover the lace from the escalator brush.
Rescuers need to establish how she came to be lying there wailing with camera on hand, but unthreading the lace while the teeth rumble past is more foolish than removing the shoe and panic to recover both with calm restored.

I remember as a kid in the 90s there was a show called “Rescue 911” and a kid’s shoelace got stuck just like that but it was so tangled up it held him down and he started suffocating cuz i think his shirt ended up getting caught too….i was so traumatized as kid watching it i always looked at both shoes before i get on a escalator even till now 😭😭😭
I think he was wearing his dad's leather jacket and it was too big and got caught. I was traumatized and wouldn't go on escalators for like 2 years. My mom was a nurse and LOVED Rescue 911.
