The way Geno Auriemma behaved was totally unseemly. Total heaux behavior. In his feelings because he got outcoached and out-played.
He robbed every single player on that court of that shining moment that was theirs—either in victory or defeat—for a season well played. Every player deserved better!!
I was done with UCONN the minute Sarah Strong manhandled Joyce and literally wrestled the ball from behind her head. Ain’t no way that wasn’t a foul and there were several instances the refs let them get away with the BS. Once SC got the lead, they mentally fell apart, and he played the white male fragility card. Went out sad.

This is now multiple times coach Staley has had to explain some post game shenanigans not of her doing. Auriemma couldn’t take the L and turned it on Staley instead of rightfully giving her and her squad flowers for out coaching and out performing UConn tonight. Classless nonsense - Be better!!
I’m still reeling because I could not believe what I saw with mine own eyes! Absolutely disgusting! We could have ended the night with an oh well, tough loss. We could’ve held our heads high for an incredible record breaking season but Gino’s shameful behavior tainted everything and will forever be part of the narrative!! Sad for the players!
I agree. Though DS can take of herself, it hurt & angered me to see her justifiably upset immediately after she adeptly guided yet another 🏀 SC Gamecocks Squad to the Championship Game.

I said it right when they interviewed him coming back from the half. The way he was carrying on then was out of character for him. He was clearly feeling the heat and he isn't used to that. Then post-game, he continued with that same energy and utterly embarrassed himself. This was not a good look for him at all.
Also he took the moment away from the players on both teams. He left his team on the court after the game. That’s what upset me the most. He made it about himself.
His post game with the media was even worse than the moment
Staley got in his dome and the circus music was blaring.
This is why he was a problem with Pat Summit. Glad y’all are catching on. He’s always been an ass. It’s not racial.

I watched the game last year as SC got their azz handed to them. Coach Dawn handled the loss with such class. Geno showed no class after getting his azz handed to him. That Trump in him came out!

Dawn is from North Philly, Geno from Norristown. There's levels to his hatred.
Mind you Ms. Coach Dawn got smoked by 752pts last year between both games took her L on the chin and did not behave that way towards him. She may have had a crash out moment on the bench but she carried her L and respected both he and the team!
The tantrum was bad enough but walking off without celebrating his seniors and refusing to shake the hands of the winners is completely unacceptable. And then of course he should’ve just moved on from the press conference but had to continue to whine.

Sour Carolina got creamed last year by UCONN and coach Staley sat on that bench and watched it. Not happy but took it and said they will come back stronger. Shook their hands at the end and prepared for this season. Geno acted like a baby.
