This chef at an Asian restaurant shared a POV of what it's like cooking during a rush period 🤯 his multitasking ability is at a level 10 🔥

My kid is a chef, he tells his cooks, “I’m going to ask you to do it, then I’m going to tell you to do it, then I’m going to do it myself, and at that point, I don’t need you.” And yes, he can multitask like a mf!

This is fascinating to watch. Give me a whole channel just like those smoothie/coffee channels on YT.

There's channels that cook live everyday on YT... any cuisine you like

3 pans used for everything🤔 noodle water cleans the skillet pan which uses the grease from the grease pan that fries chicken, shrimp and anything else 🤔 I’ll pass

As a Chef who has worked many different cuisines in my culinary career, I don’t think anything can compare to a wok station on a busy night. This is the ultimate in mise en place cooking style and is challenging and exhilarating.

Exactly like what Jimmy O Yang describes. Uncle from Hong Kong, alone in the kitchen, a cigarette on his lips, flipping the work, and goes "tiuleilaomou". ,aka "F. U. C. K. Your mother" yeah that is rude 😂

This demonstrates a couple of key points:

1. Prepping and mise en place is everything.

2. This indirectly demonstrates why modding your order is the most obnoxious thing you can do. A station is set up around how the dish is made. Anything out of pocket throws off your timing.

He is a high level task switcher which makes the chef very gifted. It's not multitasking...

What is that stone he's putting on the wok then throwing back out?

Is it cool if I put 12+ modifiers to my dish? I'm not allergic to anything I just feel superior when I dont eat half the things listed in the very specific dish. Plus I just dont like the taste of most things. What even are water chestnuts anyways? Its probably not good cause the i would find it easily at Wal-Mart.

Me: “I love cooking! It helps me relax at the end of the day.”

My friends: “You should start a food truck!”

Me: “…did you entirely miss what I just fucking said?”

You see a lot of comments about cross “contamination”…. every Asian knows they accept those risks walking through the door. As Ronny Chieng said “spreadsheets of genetic failure”
