Expecting it. Changed several investments today in anticipation of the speech tonight. Likely to buy several of them back again in a couple days when we find out what he says tonight isn't exactly the reality of the situation, or if it is much worse than he tries to say. (And no, I don't know which way this announcement is going tonight.)
My bet is he's going to say something that is intended to make the market feel better/safer, and in a few days, we'll find out it was all B.S.
There is a small possibility he's announcing a land invasion. Watch out markets tomorrow if that happens.
I really hope someone is tracking futures contracts to look for very specific one-sided bets that may be signs of insider trading.
We need to find out who has been doing this (I'm betting it is quite a number of people with inside knowledge), and prosecute the hell out of them when he is finally out of office. That includes seizing their ill-gotten gains and paying back victims.
There is also a smaller possibility he'll declare martial law or some other asshat maneuver. (Attempt to leave NATO? Ending all funding for Ukraine? Considering Nukes? Canceling elections?)
Why is my biggest fear of what could happen to my family, my future, my children, my country and my planet coming from inside the White House? And why is Congress and SCOTUS allowing this? Are they all compromised? It is literally the only thing that makes any sense at this point.
