I want to tell you one thing about the Senate and our endless Democratic war to rid us of meddlesome Sinemas and Manchins and Liebermans and Fettermans. You CANNOT underestimate how deep and normalized fat jokes have been in books up until maybe five seconds ago and I *still* read new books with fat jokes in them. We are talking casual offhand remarks in whimsical fairy tales. Hilarious Mr. Ha-Ha remarks from THE LOVE INTEREST. I never noticed them until I started looking through a body-positive lense as an adult and once you start, you realize how pervasive they are.
