You know, fuck Big Tech and all that, but it's pretty cool that Google Maps rats on the cops for setting speed traps.

That's an accident, that was a core feature of Waze which started to replace Google Maps as the primary driving nav in US, so Google bought their competition to kill it. They never added it intentionally and I'd be 0% surprised if they break it by accident one day and never fix it.
