This is common in the corporate world... What i witnessed was upper management already has someone lined up for a management position even before anything
but they still posted the job to get internal &external applications,they still did the interviews

Exactly !!!!!!!!! A recent coffee company I interviewed for, talk to me about setting up a second interview, only to get the rejection letter and when I reached out to asked what happened it was an internal hire. Why waste all of our time?

They just treat that as a free consultation and not actually want to hire someone. This is a kind of espionage behaviour.

It's a data mining scheme.

I was that "internal candidate". My boss insisted that I will get the internal promotion, but according to the company policy he was obligated to interview people from outside. Yes, it was waste of time for everyone. The position required thorough knowledge of our huge and complicated applications from day one, and no outsider could possess this knowledge.

It is just a “story telling” if the company name is not disclosed. 🤷🏻‍♂️

We have to stand together and report the ads on indeed, LinkedIn etc, select the "other" option and say exactly that. If enough people say it they'll ban them; leave reviews etc. I know once you're denied or it's over we tend to be upset, turned off and think it's over and nothing we can do. BUT MAKE IT KNOWN. Save a TON of other people from going through the same thing. If we all did this - WE'D ALL only see ads for companies ACTUALLY HIRING ! 👏🏾🤷🏾‍♂️

I think all job sites should have a real-time employer tracker where the moment that the position is filled, the tracker auto-updates so that it reduces the likelihood of being disappointed, and it’s a pity that all employers don’t think to take everyone’s livelihoods into account when it comes to anyone looking for a job that is better than their current employment.

Interview ppl is part of KPI actually or else authority will find the company have problems

Happened to me was few weeks since interviewed once I emailed they called said they didn’t call you because role withdrawn filled internally
