I was already 8+ years into comedy when I moved to the Bay Area. I had a one year old and I was technically homeless because I had just escaped my abusive fiancé. I was invited to meet up with a couple comics at a bar. I thought it was gonna be a fun hang and a good networking opportunity. We played pool and a drink was bought for me. I didn’t even finish the one drink I was given.
Somehow I ended up in one of the comedians’ car. His name is Jay Rich.
