Can someone explain what people mean when they call Violet/Jesinia “unreliable narrators”? To me, unreliable means bias, dishonesty, distorted perception, faulty memory, etc. Violet can absolutely misread people/emotions, but with history she’s actively discovering she was taught lies and trying to uncover the truth. Same with Jesinia, she’s learning the real history and helping expose it. So in what context are they unreliable? I haven’t finished Onyx Storm yet, so no spoilers please 👀
