PART TWENTY-FOUR
I needed to pee.
Bad.
Probably because my nerves had been on ten for what felt like three damn days.
“I’m going to the bathroom,” I said.
Trina barely looked up.
“Go.”
I stepped into the hallway and damn near ran straight into somebody.
“Sorry.”
He moved around me before I could really look at him.
All I caught was the back of him.
Tall.
Dark clothes.
Walking in the same direction I had just come from.
I didn’t think nothing of it.
Why would I?
Many years ago, when I was a mere 22yrs old (1973) I visited Canada to see my parents who then lived in Newmarket, Ontario. That’s when I fell in love with Canada 🇨🇦 Anyway, while there they took me for a meal in a restaurant complex called “The Ports of Call” it was an amazing place and I’ve never forgotten it, but I can’t find any reference to it online now …. Does anyone remember it or have any images of it, or any other info ??
