It’s 101 degrees at Dodger Stadium before Game 1 of the NLDS between the Dodgers and Braves. Kudos to the Dodgers for giving all fans a rally towel and a bottle of water.

When I was in my mid-twenties (maybe 26?) I went to the only bar I’ve ever felt safe going to alone. I sat at the bar and drank with another regular, a man I was well-acquainted with who was probably 20 years older than me. At some point, I felt horribly ill and went to the bathroom to puke.

A Baltimore police officer accused of assaulting a man reportedly resigned in exchange for having assault and misconduct charges dropped. The officer allegedly shoved the man, causing him to fall down several stone steps. Resignation cannot become a substitute for ACCOUNTABILITY when officers are accused of abusing their authority.

Downtown Salt Lake City is easily one of the cleanest nicest big city downtown. I’ve been a long time.
