It’s almost been two years since Hurricane Helene, and seeing the news about fuel shortages possibly coming our way, I can’t help but remember what it was like in the immediate aftermath of the worst natural disaster I’ve ever personally survived. So far, anyway. A friend of mine, desperate to get out of town after the storm, tried her hand at siphoning gas from one tank to another.
Friends I am busy, in a lot of good ways
Tired in the most exhausted of ways
Not excited for NHL season at all.
Constantly thinking of how to shift and do better myself, and how the community can do better, all while knowing I need an even longer break from all this, honestly.
The unhappiness this league has brought me is truly devastating.
Trying to hold on for better days.
